I call for opinion from antidepressant users?
For my aunt. not me :)
Answer:
She probally needs something else they have me on all kind of anti-depressant all of which never worked...Also see if she's ever have blood work done. Could have be I had a doomed to failure dr but they just assumed from the syptoms it be depression and anxiety. I was on adjectives kinds of diffrent meds for 4 years near nothing working when I changed dr's and they considered necessary to try another med I asked for blood test because none have ever been done by my previous drs. It done up being my thyroid. An underactive thyroid will rationale depression fix the thyroid fix the depression. I have immediately been sour of all depression medication for 8 months and am doing fine. It's merely something else for her to ask about if none of the depression meds come across to work.
I took antidepressants a long time ago so I don't remember what kind but I do know that these types of drugs can explanation unwanted or unpleasant side effects, including the ones you describe. I remember feeling lately 100% out of it. I got more done when I be depressed that when i was medicated.
Your aunt wishes to talk to her doctor to find the right pills and the right dosage so she can start enjoying life span again.
When it comes to antidepressants, it is not a "one-size-fits-all" situation. I feel that some doctors forget this.
Dont know in the region of fog but if i were u i'd be worried give or take a few other side effects such as death:

For pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, release and injury are just a cost of doing business. When Zyprexa, Lilly’s drug to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, hit the bazaar in 1996, it be hailed as an “atypical” – a “safe, docile psychotropic,” more effective than elder drugs like Thorazine and Trilafon, minus the dangerous side effects. Sales skyrocketed. The hype soon give way to authenticity, as Lilly faced breakers of lawsuits by patients suffering from diabetes, massive weight gain, pancreatitis and cardiac problems. Lilly responded next to the cozy arrangement that worked with Prozac, another blockbuster plagued next to problems: quietly settle suits out of court, near proceedings sealed and hush-hush under a gag command. Anything embarrassing – or evil – that Lilly is doing behind closed doors would remain clandestine from public view.
I hold been on several different meds and I own never had that problem. I am wondering if you are on to large of a dose? I would talk to your doc nearly that.
At first, you may feel this course, but if this feeling go on for more than a week total, this type of ssri is not the for her body chemistry.
There are a variety of SSRIs out near, so it may depend on which one she's taking. If she's truly depressed, my personal experience is that SSRIs should decrease the numbness or fog, not increase it. If the med she's taking is not helping her depression, she may verbs to feel depressed, and express that as sense numb or in a fog. First, receive sure she's taking an SSRI, and at an appropriate dose. Some, like Celexa, can lug up to 6 weeks to reach curative levels, and level can be monitored by blood tests. If she's switched to a generic lately, she should also make sure she's at her liberating level, since generics can be smaller amount uniform, depending on the source. Second, if she continues to experience the symptoms, she should go put money on to her doctor and try a different SSRI or a different drug altogether. In older adults, adjectives depression can be the result of other medical conditions, including mini-strokes, hypothyroidism and certain vitamin deficiency.
