In the event of a pure disaster, what would transpire to your prescriptions?
I take several medication and even though I wouldn't die if I didn't have my medication I would be in plentifully of pain. I other wondered if they brought you medication, or if you could go achieve it in another nouns not effected by the disaster, or would you lately be SOL? Would they provide only to the ones that entail the medication to live or would they provide to everyone? Or no one? Does anyone know what happen to people who hold prescriptions in this situation?

In a disaster situation empire with chronic dull pain would be a low priority. You would not be able to gain meds to deal next to chronic pain if population were dying around you. I am not trying to minimize your affliction issues, but imagine this scenario. One personage walks into an ER/pharmacy/whatever, and say, "I feel close to I can't breathe", and another person walk in and say, "I've had this spinal column pain for 3 years, and I obligation a refill". Who would you treat first? Sorry to say this, but as you put it, you would be SOL. This is especially true if you are taking controlled substances to control you cramp, as the prescriptions cannot be filled contained by a different state (i.e. you could not just draw from away from the disaster to fill your scrip). I'm sorry to relate you if a natural disaster occur at the same time you run out of your meds, you will be contained by pain until the rest of the community is physically stable. As horrible as this may appear to you, think around the big picture.
You would have to dance without them untill the red cross, fema, etc could capture you out of the area.
I purely wonder who you think "they" are? I'm sure that if you be thinking of a pharmacy, "they" would try and reopen as soon as practical and get their prescription drugs up to speed as soon as reliable refrigeration be available or they had power colleagues and fuel to operate their refrigeration. As for disaster relief such as the Red Cross or the National Guard, their handiness to supply medication is limited. Perhaps you could review how things pan out in inbred disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, which was something like as disruptive as one could expect a natural disaster to be.

You own to hope to god you have them near you when a natural disaster happen. Because unless your pain is butchery you. In a great disaster like katrina. The kids,family and people dieng are getting out first. Unless your one of those you have need of to get some extra prescriptions to hold in a place you can arrive at them in shield of emergency.
