Drug classification?

Is there a numeric classification for perscription (and possibly non perscription) drugs? Possibly have somthing to do with liklyhood of dependancy.


Answers:    yes at hand are, check out this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controlled_... it only go up to what they call programme 5 drugs but i know in australian drug we have diary 8 which includes the highly addictive drugs such as morphine, oxycontin etc..i feel i saw some of these under a different classification on this page
In Britain the are Class A, B and C drugs, depending on their affect on the taker, and how all right regulated their production and distribution is.
