Why are sportsmen/women rewarded millions when doctors, nurses etc not compensated as much for a more influential brief ?
Answer:
I agree with some of the previous posters who said that citizens are not willing to pay envelope ridiculous amounts for health thought is one of the reasons that doctors and nurses do not receive multimillion salaries. It is also a virtuous point that there are several more people involved within health thoroughness than there are contained by athletics, so there is not as much money to step around. If you think give or take a few any one person within the hospital and all of the relations who must be involved in their effort (primary doctors, specialists, nurses, nurse aides, lab techs, x ray techs, dietary support, secretaries, etc.), you can see how the money simply isn't there to repay huge salaries.
That human being said, I have a huge problem near the person who said that nurses lately do "as they are told". If this was the crust, any person could step into a hospital off the street, emphasize their desire to be a nurse, and be hired on the spot to do what they are told. Nurses have an ethical and a officially recognized obligation to NOT in recent times do what the physician orders, and must other act to protect the best interests of the long-suffering. If a nurse carries out an directive that is unsafe/unethical, he or she is basically as liable as the physician who wrote the order.
I would also close to to add that most physicians do not live an affluent lifestyle. They are commonly called surrounded by the middle of the night to concord with critical situations. How would you resembling to be called at 3 am to kind a decision to be precise a matter of life span and death after you enjoy already put in a 16+ hour morning? Sure, they make clad salaries, but it is for a errand that requires 24/7 committment. It's not like they can jump home at the end of the morning and just forget going on for work.
Entertainers in standard are paid a seemingly ridiculous amount of money. I guess its supply and constraint. We are willing to pay envelope 50 dollars or more to see a sporting event, so the players get more money. We are also, as fan, willing to sit through a plethora of mindless beer commercials during these games.
Because nation pay to see them get something done (like actors, singers, etc.), and they buy the products those athletes support.
Sure it's not fair, but it's the means of access the world works. When you consider how few of them there are relative to the doctors, nurses, teacher, firemen, and others who have "noble" professions, you may not perceive so bad roughly speaking it.
because a lot of population and media are organized to pay anything amount of money just to keep watch on them
Because everyone will voluntarily pay to be entertain - but they don't want to pay a dime to achieve well.
Noone ever wishes to go to the doctor - it's only just not fun...so it grates on people to enjoy to pay for it.
And, also, not a soul (except pharmaceutical companies) will pay a doctor or nurse a million to back up their product - unless it's that creepy Dr. Jarvic - that guy gives me the willies big time. super creepy and gruesome as sin, too...
In the case of the doctors enjoy you ever considered that half the time they are treating illnesses which are cause by wrong lifestyle habits. As the guardians of the public strength why are they not demanding congressional hearings to protest the artificial, processed food specifically served to an unwitting public. Could it be that this would jeopardize their affluent life style by adjectives down on illnesses and therefore income. Nurses are somewhat different as they only just do as they are told.
GOOD QUESTION!!
Amen to that, and thank you for asking!
Oh - to answer ALR - here's why I'm not spending my time testifying to congress about people who are negatively influencing their own strength care - because I don't own time, nor do I make adequate money to use my minimal free time to do that!! My lifestyle is in NO WAY affluent - and never will be. You clearly hold no knowledge or respect for the job that physicians and nurses do and have no business answering question like this minus an appropriate knowledge platform.
