Emergency room protocol -- if I am brought within near a life-threatening condition, and I waste treatment.?

If I am of sound mind, and a relative call an ambulance for me, I am taken to the ER with a life-threatening condition, the relative demands I be treated, but I turn down to sign for it or give my consent (and I am totally conscious) -- will they beg to be excused to treat me?

Answer:
Yes, you can refuse treatment. They will ask you to sign an "Against Medical Advice" form and convey you on your way.

If they give attention to you are not competent to make that finding, they'll get a psych consult and/or a court writ.
you can simply deny the ride to the hospital in the ambulance from the start.

That's an expensive ride for nought. = about $1000

and yes, if nouns of mind you can deny anything,
if your at least 17 / 18 (depends on what state)
probably not but if you can convince afterwards that's this is what you want quality of existence and so forth then they will but if you articulate my religion wont let me or the martians are waiting for me to die consequently they will treat you so your family cant sue later latter
depending on your age,yes they will let you travel
It is definitely contained by your best interest to get treatment as expected. It depends on the condition. For example, if you are bleeding from a stab wound they will still treat you. Honestly, it is a very strange cross-question with no defined answer.
If you're competent, you own the right to be a damned fool, absolutely. Being concious, though, isn't ample. You have to be an fully developed, and sober, and without any certain reason to be incompetent. If you're suicidal, crazy is a polite enough object to treat without consent.
Oh yeah, you can disallow treatment although it is not in your best interest. I did such a entry, and almost payed for it. I was surrounded by a car chance years ago and suffered a collapsed lung, which I did not believe that I had. I be in tremendous dull pain, but I was breathing. In certainty, the way I be reacting surrounded by the ER, the doctors did not think that anything be wrong until the X-Rays came final and then here were doctors everywhere. The subsequent thing I know a surgeon came within and explained the situation to me and wanted to put a chest tube surrounded by me. I just said that I looked-for to go home. I also have a severe leg injury so that was not going to evolve. But I initially refused the chest tube. After discussion with the surgeon, he finally said that by that evening I would not be capable of breathe and that it would be life threatening at that point, if I did not own this done. I refused it out of horror. He finally gave within and walked out shaking his commander. I thought about what he said and call him back, only as he had walk out the door, and said OK. I am glad that I did, as even with the chest tube, I have problems breathing that night and be in great distress.

The point, listen to what the doctor says and take home a judgment base on the information given to you. Do not let emotion and fears block your good pronouncement.
