Any design for DTI - MRI research?

Hi. I'm looking for new planning on using or developing Diffusion Tensor Imaging or weighted imaging. Are there diseases within which neural fibre position are important? What aspects of neural fibre in the brain are defining? (ie.count/ volume/ average orientation? / geometric range/length?)

Answer:
You have no answers, so, although I am hardly an expert (thats an understatement, I've get no idea what I'm discussion about), I thought I would give it a budge.

Is this useful?

Apparently, respectively area of the brain have "an optimum direction for which stimulating currents can produce neural excitation." And that this is dependent on neural orientation:

Clearly, neural count, volume, situation and length are all big:
"We found no significant differences between control and alcoholic subjects with respect to the total volume, total length, and have it in mind diameter of myelinated fibres within white matter."

Sorry, that wasn't much serve at all be it?
