Is artificial blood used anywhere?
Answer:
The only things I can surmise of is in the shield of Jehovah's Witness's whose religious beliefs are to not accept blood products, and situations where on earth there is a irregular blood type and a decreased supply available.
I've be a nurse for ten years, and honestly I've never used it or heard of other nurses using it, but enjoy heard it within conversations regarding ancestors who refuse blood products.

now-a-days they are doing stem cell research.Any sort of cell may be produced under specific conditions from the embryonic stem cell.First different cells-epithelial tissue,connective tissue etc. are produced & artificial organs are created from those,U can replace liver , bones EVEN THE HEART! WITH THE ARTIFICIAL ONES!
I saw many of these transplants on DISCOVERY CHANNEL.
ARTIFICIAL BLOOD is used individual for research of cancer etc. but till date it has not be tested in human.

The human blood cannot be made or produced but I have read articles that guaranteed liquids can be added to the blood by transfusions but simply for limited amounts and controlled time.
