I'd much rather be an anesthesiologist. OBGYNs are one driven out of business by ridiculously high medical malpractice premiums. They tend to grasp sued for a lot of things they are not responsible for by angry parents who necessitate someone to blame. I've noticed, that contained by general, ologists tend to be happier inhabitants. Both have awful phone call hours.
obgyn! I hear that the experience of watching a birth is like no other.
Depends on what matter most to you. I'm sure being an OB/GYN would be rewarding within that you would be involved bringing life into this word. Anesthesiologists are supposed to trademark LOADS of money...one of the most lucrative areas of medicine...but, it can be awfully risky as well I hear since profoundly is riding on you performing your procedures correctly.

You'll never look at a woman the same if you are an obgyn. it may turn you sour completely from them watching a baby come out of at hand. I'm not saying that its not a stunning thing, in recent times it gets unlikeable there and if you soak up women and like to play around in that or go downtown its a turnoff to see it.

With ob/gyn you run an office and could be on beckon at all hours. With aneth. you own no overhead of an office and if you are not really a those person you hold very little to do next to the pt. while they are awake. I have never hear of tryin g to make a edict between these 2 fields.
It depends on your self-worth. For me, it's anesthesiologist. For my obstetrical colleagues, it's OB.
There are a lot of different personality in medication, and different people are suited to different specialties. What's unflawed for me might be sheer torture for you.
I get my share of OB as an anesthesiologist, but never take amniotic fluid on my shoes. I like that.
that's a drastically subjective question, but for me, it's not even close: anesthesiology is the route to go. i approaching the predictable hours and i don't have to see patients surrounded by the clinic. the interaction with patients is short and rewarding- any you're putting in an epidural for labor pains and making women comfortable (they're VERY grateful- usually!), if not you're putting patients to sleep for their surgery and dropping them off after they've woken up. i never attain tired of hearing patients speak afterwards how surprised they are that the surgery's all done, and that they didn't discern a thing. again, i find those interactions enormously rewarding. i'm sure if you talked to an ob/gyn, they'd explain to you their interactions are rewarding as well.
