Stethoscope recommend: "deafening environment/good thru clothing" models any accurate?
Am not a candidate for a audible range aid (YET--smile) and hadn't PLANNED on a cardiology-class or battery-amplified 'scope.

Figuring on spending something resembling $100 USD (or less) for an upgrade, but didn't want to get some trendy toy that didn't work.
OTOH, figure paramedics/EMTs/similar probably had plenty to read aloud about obedient, economical scopes that worked under horribly adverse conditions....

Answers: A steth is never really thoroughly good through clothing. Too muffled and too tons extraneous rubbing sounds. Plus, you can't use the bell at all afterwards.
I use and recommend the Harvey Elite by Welch-Allyn.
