This may be a stupid press, but i might want an answer...why can't you transplant brains?
Answer:
1. the brain is connected to "everywhere" in the body. the connections number within the trillions, including major blood vessel and nerves. I don't think any human surgeon of our contemporaries, no matter how virtuous, could reconstruct/reconnect these things
2. the brain, more than any other organ, needs a continuous blood supply for oxygen and nutrients, and most of its cell would die within minutes if this supply is cut rotten
3. the body itself would die without the regulatory functions of the brain (e.g. breathing)
We do not enjoy the the technology to repair or connect nerve tissue.
too abundant microscopic nerves to re-connect, maybe someday it will be possible.
because some brains are stupid
not adequate technology yet
It worked exceedingly good wit Frankenstein.
I believe, repeatedly, there are in recent times too damn many fine connections to build to provide neurological and circulatory connections to empower a new brain connected to my body.
I believe, politically, George W.Bush would hold a "hissy fit".
What does" w/e" mean?
Because everyone would be afraid they might seize a politician's brain. But really that should be a GOOD thing because it's never really be used much. It would also be in completely good condition because it's be changed regularly for no apparent principle.
Technical obstacle:
The brain simply have too many connections beside other tissues and organs. Our understanding and technology of drug are just not near yet.
Ethical concern:
The brain is a unmatched organ. The vast majority of modern scientists believe the brain is the holder of our "soul" or self-awareness.
That one said, transplanting brain is actually transplanting body. Here's a remarkably crude example. If I cut off John's principal and put it on George's body, would you say the resulting personage is George or John? I say it's John, but George would be pretty discontent though :)
