Should I progress on medicaid? I don't want to be a welfare casing.?

I grew up in a home who greatly frowned upon people who used the system and allowed themselves to become welfare cases. I be brought up to work for what you have. Well ever since I be sixteen I have completely supported myself. Lately deeply of medical problems have come up for me though and I'm getting tired of purely dealing with the affliction, not going to the doctor, and risking having something serious because I simply cannot afford the doctor.

Is medicaid welfare? I inevitability to see the doctor but I really don't want to be one of those people my boyfriend or father referred to when they said, "I hold to go to work every sunshine, millions of people on welfare are counting on me."

Heh. Info on Medicaid would be sympathetic. Thanks.

Answer:
techincally Medicaid IS welfare... however, if you've been working since you be 16, then you've be paying into Medicaid ever since then. Why not hold advantage of what you've be paying for?
No you are not a welfare case if you use Medicaid. If you really stipulation it use it as long as you are not 'using' the system (i'm sure you are not). Just do so with the intention that you will not be on it forever.
Check out whether your state have insurance plans for low income families. Illinois, for example, have discounted insurance plans for kids(kidscare) and families. I do not know the process but you can google for those.
I consider medicaid an insurance benefit since The program, authorized by Title XIX of the Social Security Act.

If you enjoy ever worked in your natural life a premium has be deducted from every paycheck to cover the eventuality you may inevitability it.

Would you hesitate to build a claim on any other insurance you have remunerated?
