Have you taken Restoril / Temazepam.??

If so, did you notice it taking forever to get over the "fogginess" after waking up? (Even after a full night of sleep?)

Yes, I know it's a sleep medicine... I am just wondering if it's a side effect like some of the generic over the counter sleep medicines.

It's a little bit too much to go into all of it here... so, if you want to know more why I'm on this, my 360 site is in my profile... if you want.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, LH :o)

Answer:
Temazepam has a half-life of 120 hours. That means it takes 120 hours for half of the amount of temazepam in your body to disappear. That's a long half-life. If you're taking it regularly, I imagine it could build up in your body. Perhaps you should look at switching. Talk to your doctor.
You really need to talk to your doctor and tell him about the side effects.
Yes i have taken Temazepam, and it feels like a hang over, you can get use to the side effects, but if you'd like something over the counter, Tylenol P.M. is your best choice, i would stay away from thinking on going and trying Ambien, i have taken that also and my husband did and it caused some serious falls for my husband, he was sleep walking and feel down a long steep flight of steps and i had to keep taking him to all kinds of doctor's, because he was having seizers in the brain. So be very careful with your meds, and call your doctor with this symptoms, these can be a sign of some sort, and maybe your meds need to be changed.
