How can i explain the procedure of taking someones blood pressure?
Answer:
.
The cuff of sphygmo manometer is tied around the upper arm. The instrument is kept at the same horizontal as the heart. The cuff is being inflated while I maintain my fingers on the wrist of the examinee.I inflate till I cease to discern the pulse. The reading roughly is the systolic pressure ie the pressure that just blocks the pulse.
Now I deflate the cuff.
I use my stethescope very soon. I keep the diaphragm of the steth on the cubital fossa lately on the brachial artery. Now I Inflate the cuff till the pressure just exceeds systolic pressure and hear the sounds
.
I deflate the cuff immensely slowly. When I hear the sounds first, that is the systolic pressure reading. When I discontinue to hear the sounds first on further deflation that reading is the diastolic pressure
How about----I need to embezzle your blood pressure. First, I will wrap the cuff around your upper arm, place my stethoscope on the inside of your elbow and inflate the cuff and then permit the air out. When I hear the first heart stuff That is systolic and the last vanquish I hear is dyastolic.
