What happen if I accidentally took an expired dose of macrobid?

Macrobid is a antibiotic used to treat UTI's. It expired in January of 2007. Did it only just lose potency, or does anyone know if the chemical makeup of the medicine change so as to be harmful?

Answers:    For sure within won't be any guarantee that its strength and potency remain the same. So far, zilch has be mentioned that its chemical make up become dangerous ancient its expiry date.
(I know of Aspirin and Tetracyline of getting dangerous ancient their expiry dates.)
If anything it would lose it potency. Will not injure you. However, I must tell you that it is not a worthy practice to just lift one or two pills of antibiotics. You can cause your body more mar by doing that. Next time maybe the antibiotic will not work. Super-infections.
