I will agree I am a bit depressed, and I'm young contained by age, but I'm ready to pulse this. I don't want this drug to just be a blanket, and when I stop taking it return to my depressed woopy droopy again. I wanna get my energy back on track, build the blocks, remember who I am again. Could this drug assistance with that?
and will this drug raison d`¨ētre any brain damage, my friend said it does
Answer:
There are lots of individual variation.
It will take a few weeks to start working. You may hold to take it for a few months or a few years. If you straighten out your time sooner, the sooner you will be able to win out of it.
Pay no attention to your friend. With a friend like him you inevitability no enemies. Your psychiatrist will wean you sour the drug, when you have have pyschotherapy and he feels you are all set. Many teenagers experience this and recover other.
i was depressed too when i be 19, i get rid of it 3 years subsequently. my case be a really seroius one, i took many drugs, including prozac, it does hold many side effects, but as long as ur doctor recognize its necessary for u to clutch it, u should keep on taking it, cos' sometimes not taking a drug have more side effects than taking it.
but ask ur doc for some non-medicine as well as ur drugs, some psychotherapy will bring a miracle and can back u stop the drug after some time, and feel better and eventually cured forever. apposite luck.
How long does prozac take to work? Well some culture notice antidepressants working inwardly 3 to 4 days, others find it takes up to 6 weeks. The evidence is that the quicker you perceive it working, the better it is going to work for you.
No one knows why antidepressants embezzle so long to work. At least somewhat, it can be explained because it takes a long time for the plane of antidepressants to build up in your blood, to be precise to say, after taking most antidepressants for 3 days, they are still solitary at ~75% of the level they will make after a week. The other reasons we do not know.
An argument I habitually hear against antidepressants is that "they only pall the problem". This isn't a very fitting argument as nearly all pharmaceuticals treat the symptoms of the disease not the produce (antibiotics are about the one and only drug I can think of that treats the lead to of the disease, everything else; insulin, beta-blockers, anti-psychotics, viagra etc... treats the symptomes).
Depression can often be a downward spiral. Depression lead to bad choices and schedule in your vivacity, which gives you TRUE things to be depressed about. This can also head to anxiety disorder, and anxiety disorders can lead to frenzy disorders.
The scientific background supports the idea that the best treatment for depression is a combination of pharmaceuticals and cognitive behavioural psychoanalysis, so this is what I recommend.
Also remember, if the drugs do not work, you can simply stop taking them (under advice from your doctor, you sometimes want to slowly ween off the drug), and you will be no worse that you started.
