when a muscle is denervated two typical properties are noticed.
1) fibrillations...which is also call denervation hypersensitivity. ie the muscle becomes excessively sensitive to circulating ACh and fine convulsive motion of muscle is observed.
2) finally the muscle atrophies(decreases in mass) call simply as denervation atrophy(the other one is disuse atrophy)
