Frova vs. Imitrex?
Is the dosage of Frova I'm taking stronger than 100mg of Imitrex?? I'm suppose to whip the Frova instead of taking so much Imitrex, but it seems resembling I'm still taking the same amount (if not more) very soon that I am using the Frova as a preventative. I'm beginning to cogitate that it would be healthier to switch posterior to taking the Imitrex (as needed) despite how often I be taking it. My doctor is fixated on curing my migraines not on the long-term effects these drugs may have on my body so I am not getting the right answers to my question from the neuro.

There have be recent studies that indicate frovatriptan (Frova) can be used to prevent menstrually associated migraines. I haven't seen the actual statistics, but from what summaries right to be heard, it has a 50% nouns rate in preventing these migraines.
Frova 2.5 mg is in actuality less significant than Imitrex 100 mg.
Be honest with your MD. If you are discomfited taking a medication, let him know. It is your right as a tolerant to choose whether or not to take a medication. Now a days, patients are more involved surrounded by their treatment options than ever since. Many doctors believe in prevention earlier treatment.

I Haven't Looked Up Frova, but I Have Used Imitrex (which I Have Used At Half the Dose [Injectable, IM Not s. c.]), to Abort a Migraine With Aura, I'm Not Familiar With the 100 mg Oral Dose of Imtrex, but Know it Undergoes Extensive First-Pass Metabolism, I don't Think the Oral Form Would Be Fast Enough to Avoid All of the Headache Itself, but Better than a "Global" Solution, Maybe Frova Will Reduce their Frequency, if One Can Handle the Side Effects, it May Be Worth it.
