Has anyone ever have successful PCL knees surgery done?
Answers: PCL surgery, although not as adjectives as ACL surgery has to some extent similar results. The controversy lies not so much with the outcomes once the surgery is done, but that the approach used to draw from to it is very difficult and not adjectives surgeons are comfortable doing it. Furthermore, since the PCL has a better blood supply at the extremity of it than most other ligaments, many (especially if it is a partial tear) can make well on their own. Therefore, many surgeons opt for conservative comfort.
I have really solely seen a handful of these, and none have any signficant problems. However, I think the patients be young, forceful well-screened patients and it was done by a physician comfortable beside the procedure. I'd probably seek a surgeon associated beside a teaching or university hospital...they tend to be somewhat more progressive.
