My Mom Has An Allergy & The Doctor.?

GAVE HER ZYRTEC THAT ARE 10MG TABLETS AND SHE HAS TO TAKE 2 TABLETS A DAY. HER DOCTOR TOLD HER TO TAKE THEM LIKE THAT AND THAT THE TABLETS ARE NOT HARMFULL BUT THE PHARMISISTS SAYS IT IS HARMFULL. WHO SHOULD SHE BELIEVE AND WHY?!

ALSO THOSE TABLETS ARE THE ONLY THING THAT CONTROLS HER ALLERGY BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIND THE CAUSE OF HER ALLERGY. THEY'VE DONE TEST AND TEST, DIFFERENT DOCTORS, ALLERGISTS AND THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING.

Answer:
Two Zyrtec a day should be fine. (I did it for a year) Though Zyrtec will knock her out til she get used to it, its like taking 4 benadryl at once (which I don't support doing btw).

Finding the source of her allergies is really want you want to do, and the 2 Zyrtec a day should give support to buy her some time.

I assume that she's been tested for food allergies (RAST?) have she had an ELISA audition done? Or a CAP-RAST? CAP-RAST tests are more accurate and reliable than RAST conducting tests. Has she also been tested for Celiac? (I know it may give the impression of being unrelated, but Celiac causes intestinal twist which can cause the body enjoy allergic reactions to food leakages).

If she hasn't already, she may also want to try an expulsion diet. If she's done this, and it hasn't helped.. Then she may be allergic to corn. Corn is nearly impossible to detect on an closure diet unless you're specifically educated on how to avoid it. (There is corn surrounded by zyrtec btw). Corn also seems to be to some extent elusive on test.

If she hasn't tried an elimination diet, within are several types which you can find online. Since her problems are constant enough for Zyrtec twice a hours of daylight, I would suspect that her allergy is one (or more) of the following: Corn, Wheat, Milk, Eggs, Soy, Peanut. These are the hardest to eliminate foods, and I would recommend her trying to destroy them all for two weeks. (most inhabitants can do any diet for two weeks)

To help beside eliminating corn:

If she does stamp out these foods, do be aware that many individuals experience a withdrawl/detox when their allergen is removed. This can present itself as depression, lethargy, moodiness, hot/cold flashes, sweating, nausea. It is similar to a drug addict's withdrawl/detox. Not everyone experiences this though, but I of late wanted you to be prepared.

Good Luck and I hope she finds the culprit soon. I'm fully aware of suffering through check after test near no answers. Tests aren't always fool-proof. I know this first mitt.
Does your home need repairs? I'd start beside the flooring and furniture for anything that needs changed, consequently the walls. It'd be great if your mother's allergies were controlled by drug if she has to give a hand you with that process, but even after, let her enjoy as much rest as she needs the hours of daylight after helping or else she'll stay sick or prone to infections.

Try another doctor. This one's not seeing her the right road. She should be seen for just about six months to a year to determine why her immune system is overreacting. There are certain things she could enjoy going on with her. (I know coz I enjoy something actually.) She should possibly hold Epi Pens if she's had anaphylaxis until that time or ever has to budge get epinephrine surrounded by her breathing treatments to breathe right again.

Try a new doctor. Sounds approaching she's being blown stale AND mistreated.
Believe her doctor. Some pharmacists are not competent.
Zyrtec is a well tolerated drug. The pharmacist be probably just explaining POSSIBLE side effects.

If near are more questions, the answer is not to progress to another doctor. It is to go support to the doctor and ask questions.
