What are contraindicators of compression wraps contained by vascular wounds and is bleeding considered one?
Answer:
no, bleeding is an indication for applying compression dressings- that's why you want to put one on.
perhaps a comtraindication would be complex sympathetic fracture of the extremity.
Compression is not a good perception if the wound is from arterial insufficiency. If you are wrapping venous wounds then the chief contraindication is congestive heart failure.
In CHF the body already does not own enough storage volume and a compression wrap would lower the amount of volume even more, pushing more congestion into areas where on earth it is not needed (especially the lungs and heart.)
