I used to wear specs. I used to date a guy that wore glasses. We did this crazy article and took our glasses rotten. We were both nearsighted so we could see OK close up and the lights be off anyway.

I wear contacts now (3 years). Acuvue Advanced and my eyes are as on top form as they ever were. merely because Google said it doesn't make it true. Google is correct but its not absolute.
I can have a handle on your dilemma, I wear glasses too, but mostly contact lenses...they are clearly safe..wear them as told to you by your doctor, and clean/disenfect respectively and every time you take out/ put them contained by. eyeglasses get within my way when kissing, fooling around, and giving pleasure to my guys "friend". My contact lenses are great contained by this respect...ahemmm no slipping ,getting in my track OR fogging up!!
Go get contacts.. you will probably find you love them so much, that you will individual wear your glasses for a minute each daytime !!
