Well..it'll make clear to you in BIG junk mail on the side of the prescription bottle if it's okay or not to drink alcohol with it. If he doesn't dispense it up. It's his fault for ruining his natural life.

Not sure roughly speaking those particular drugs, but contained by general NO. In certainty, a 12-pack every other day would be a defence to be concerned without the drugs.
What does the doctor enunciate? Its not good to drink near any meds, especially that much.
You need to ask your doctor more or less this.
Also, cut back on the beer for other reason. It can really put the weight on and could potentially be a gateway to alcoholism.
i would assume no because most medication have altered effects when mixed next to alcohol, but check the instructions that should have come beside the perscription...it probably says that one shouldn't be taking it next to alcohol, which definately means no
one shouldn't be drinking that much anyway...it's really unpromising for brain and liver and kidney function

But like I said, that's more beer later any doctor or pharmacist would recommend and you know that.
Medication for the treatment of mental disorders, generally, does not mix near alcohol. There should be a warning on his pill bottle.
I am NOT a doctor. I believe one of the components defining the parameter of bi-polar... disease?... syndrome? is the tendency toward addictive behavior. If your friend is wash down his meds with 6 beers a light of day he may be demonstrating that the diagnosis is correct - but the dosage of meds is too low. I wish you both the best -but it's gonna help yourself to some butt-breaking work.
More than likely not. If he won't quit offer him alcohol free beer. Or get him to run to the Local Mental Health clinic and ask for help in that.
my intuition says definately not, although i'm a culprit of hipocrisy as everyone else is... i've have my share of "hydros" with a few beers beside no adverse effects. the same beside otc stuff like tylenol and stuff. you largely wanna stay away from it, but everythings okay in moderation. i utter up to 3 drinks while the meds are in you are okay, anything more is too risky. focus about it... your liver/kidneys filter your blood and stuff. near just the tablets (some are worse than others, i'd call a pharm. or research on-line), your liver is working easier said than done to get rid of inhospitable surroundings and stuff. add alcohol, and it works that much harder... affix the synergetic properties of both... and its even THAT Much harder on the liver. keep doing it and it get progressively worse. its generally a stupid/bad belief, although i've done it too. i wouldn't exactly disagree, however, with your bf if it be just a few beers over the course of a full year... everyday. but a 12 pack is definately pushing it. if you think you necessitate to help him... try a comprimise beside him. tell him you deduce he wont give it up, but I don`t know he can cut it down to a six pack every other day? (spread out the two days... close to three beers a day) or even ask him to limit it to 4 beers a morning... and tell him you'll be totally okay beside it. if all else fail. try to get him to put down purely one beer out of that 12-pack... anything will help. pious luck
That depends on the medicine and it's directions. Some medicine -whether over the counter or prescription- instruct users not ot take them next to alcohol. So check the label formerly you drink beer or any alcoholic beverage with any medication.
it's definately fine. surrounded by fact, i find that most prescription drugs work a great deal better (or are at least more fun) beside the addition of a few beers.
seriously though, the warning on the lable are for liability reasons. alcohol intensifies some drugs and can hold adverse effects on the liver, kidneys and stomach, but generally don't own too harmful of an internal affect on nuero-drugs.
