Non hodgkins lymphoma - grown 1cm surrounded by 1 yr, all the same its hast grown surrounded by concluding couple years!!?

Based on the staging it still looks ok when i worked it out - ie: less than 60yo, hasnt mets on both sides diaphram etc... BUT this staging system didnt hold into account the speedy growth like this...
From what I construe it stays dormant, then when it grows it speedily grows and death comes like lightning... Any insights pls?
PS- yes I am going to haematologist to discuss chemo/etc, but want to know what everyone thinks here - gratitude!

Answers:    You don't need to be relying on "everyone" here; even citizens who have have lymphoma may have have nothing applicable to your situation.

Everything depends on the type/histology/stage. Looks similar to you likely hold a low grade NHL (say follicular lymphoma or possibly small lymphocytic) since you have have it for years and are not on any therapy. If it have grown only one cm surrounded by a year, that is not much growth at adjectives; it is certainly not aggressive growth even if it have been dormant for 10 yrs prior to that.

If i.e. the only exchange, I would predict your doctor will continue to scrutinize you closely. Take heart, that is not much amendment if only 1 cm. over 1 year.

God bless, best wishes
