I hold needed three transplants, one pancreas and two kidneys. I was told it would pinch four to five years in Ca. to contest me to a donor, so since my first kidney transplant was a living donor(10 yrs ago) I would find a second living donor, and I have my second transplant in Dec.05.
If you are surrounded by need of a transplant, do not dawdle for unos, if you are still healthy plenty, get out and hold everyone tested. i.e. everyone in your people, friends , people within church, at school. Ask anyone who will listen.
My living donors be my mom, and my wife's uncle, no blood relation to her or myself..

Hundreds of associates are added to the list every year. There are no where on earth near ample donors available and there never will be which make stem cell research and therapuetic cloning research absolutely essential. The length of the waiting list depends on what organ, the location of the donor and the receiver, height and blood type of both and several other facotrs.
