Young's Rule.. Need relief?

I have to do this assignment for college and I hold to make up and show my own example of Young's Rule. I found the equation for it, but can not find an example of it. When I do the equation it does not give the impression of being to come out right and it is confusing me. The equation is Child's Age + 12, divided by Child's Age, take that answer and divide by the grown dosage. This is in regard to administering children's medicine. I own to make up my own child's age and the "adult" dosage, and consequently show my work. I am completely able to do this, provided I can see an example, because I am not too sure my answers are coming out right... any lend a hand would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Answer:
Young’s Rule states that the child dosage is equal to the adult dosage multiplied by the child’s age within years, divided by the sum of 12 plus the child’s age.

ie: child dose = (adult dose x child's age) / (12 + child's age)

So, for a drug with an mature dose of 100mg is to be given to a 4-year old child:

child dose = (100mg x 4)/(12 + 4)
= 400/16
= 25mg
pharmcal.tripod.com have a calculator that you can use to confirm your calculations.
It have a calculator for Young's Rule,Cowling's Rule,and Fried's Rule for Infants
Hope this helps.
