I have a problem with acid re-flux. what is the best cure for it?

Answer:
You may be able to solve this yourself without resorting to prescribed medications or seeing a doctor. I did.

1. Eat small meals. Don't fill up.
2. Try to put a few hours between dinner and bedtime without any snacking.
3. When you sleep, don't lie on your stomach. Side is best, or back if you can sleep that way.
4. Avoid acidy foods, at least in excess. Tomatoes, saurkraut, vinegar may exacerbate the problem. For me, cinnamon was a problem. Also, chocolate in excess. Observe the foods you're eating and note which ones tend to aggravate the situation. Actually all sorts of foods can make things worse.
Also avoid excessively fatty meals.
5. Google acid reflux. There's a lot of stuff on the web.

Speaking personally, I don't currently take anything, even over-the-counter remedies. I used to have a lot of sore throats and I thought I had frequent colds till I realized my stomach was the problem.
6. Moderation, at least for me, is the key. I can eat anything so long as I don't go overboard.

7. When you do get it, swallow water to lubricate your throat.
Without seeing a dr? Prilosec OTC would be the best bet. Plus, don't eat foods that are acid triggers like oranges, tomatoes, spicy foods, etc

A dr can prescribe something else if that isn't working like Prevacid, Nexium, Aciphex, or Protonix. all of these 5 are basically the same but work differently in different people.
That Natural Remedies guy from the infomercial gave that one away from his book. It would be a couple teaspoons of vinegar. Sounds harsh, so plug your nose and have some mouthwash ready.
A tablespoon of apple-cider vinegar. Yuck, but it works great.
Hi. If You are telling me that the food that is regurgitated and comes backward, it is called as the GERD or the gastro esophageal disease. In this case, the gastric juice comes back to the esophagus and destroys it. You can go and see the doctor. There are medications available like famotidine. But you need to consult your doctor
