Amoxicillin?

Hi
can anyone tell me if you can drink alchohol on the amoxicillin tablets?

Answers:    As you will already own gathered, the 100% guidance is do not drinl alcohol whilst on anti-biotics, such as Amoxicillin. Amoxicillin is a synthetic penicillin, produced by reactive mixtures of several chemicals. Since alcohol is itself a chemical, ethyl alcohol, it can react next to the chemicals within Amoxicillin, which surrounded by turn will negate the effects of the anti-biotic and/or produce side effects, such as nausea, vomiting and tiredness.
You can but then your infection will probably not clear up.
