Personal question.?
Answer:
Birth control could have some negative side-effects, and I don't really think that it would help much with ovarian cysts. However, I do not have much knowledge of the subject. I would recommend talking to your doctor or a female adult you trust.
Hey, this is beside the point, but good for you for saving yourself until marriage, I'm doing the same thing :)
for this type of situation, i would just get on the pill. it should get you regular.
Medications
Oral contraceptives: Birth control pills may be helpful to regulate the menstrual cycle, prevent the formation of follicles that can turn into cysts, and possibly reduce the size of an existing cyst.
Pain relievers: Anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen (for example, Advil) may help reduce pelvic pain. Narcotic pain medications by prescription may relieve severe pain caused by ovarian cysts.
Speak to your GP about which birth control to use, they seem to know best :)
I have never had an ovarian cysts, but I have been on the pill for 5 years. It does make your period lighter and easier to handle. I only have it for 3 days and I never have to use a heavy pad or tampon.
