How important are the birth control shots?

Are they extremely effective, or should a condom be used too?

Give me some percentage of how effective it is...

Answer:
its 99% significant. there is a superior chance of someone getting pregnant that have had their tubes tied (97% effective). i've taken the shot and it's other worked for me. even after i quit taking it, it took 8 months for me to get pregnant. so, it's pretty secure.
99% effective. I know a few citizens who got pregnant on depo.

There are no contraceptives that are 100% influential.

And, the shots (poison I like to phone call it) do not protect against STDs.
