I started the pill before my cycle will i be okay?

I went to the doctor and went on the pill. I had a friend who said she went to plan parent hood and started hers early and her body adjusted to it and she was fine. So i started mine early( not the smartest thing ive done) any ways I've been on it for nearly two weeks now and my period started today. some things ive read online say it takes a month for it to kick in if you dont start at the right time and others say it doesnt work?
I'm really confused! do I need to start over? what do i need to do?? please help!

I strongly suggest you talk to you're doctor or go to planned parent hood and ask them, or ask a trusted adult who will know this. If I were you, I would want facts, not answers from people that don't know my body. Chances are everything is okay but it's best if you seek you doctor b/c only (s)he knows your body and if it's normal for you or not. Good luck!
Don't believe everything you read, or take everything friends tell you for gospel. Every woman is different and thus, her body will react differently to different kinds of medications. It took me over two months before I adjusted.

Keep taking them as scheduled. It may take your body time to adjust to being forced to change hormone cycles.
