How long ago sence your period or until your subsequent one...might be old blood.monitor for fever, cramps and nausea that could be s/s infection. Also if it have an odor or puss infection city
Could be an infection. Discharge should always be clear. Any color signifies infection ~ receive it checked before it get worse or causes serious problems.
Break through bleeding is not that unusual. It happen to us all from time to time, The sense it is dark is it is considered "old" blood. If it continues or re-occurs tolerate your doctor know.
