hello my name is Danielle i got my period when i was 13 now I'm 14 it use to last for like 7 days and come on twice a month my mom took me to the doctor and they said this is normal for some girls when they first get there period it has to regulate on its own so a few months later my period started to regulate it comes on once a month and last for 3 days but to be sure take her to the doctor and i hope this help:)
happened to me, dr just said it was another "growth spurt" of hormones and would right itself. never did, but went onto birth control pill at 19 and all ok since then. (32 now) sometimes had my period for 21 days, then 3 mos with nothing, then 2 regular in a row only to be followed by 2/month
I had problems like that a couple of years ago. i got tested for the cysts and ovarian cancer and both came back negative. I got put on the pill and so far mine are like clock work.
this happened to me, and i have a "bicornuate uterus" [By-Core-New-Ate]. Which means my uterus has two horns, or splits off in the middle.
i was prescribed birth control pills as a young girl to make my period light and cause me less PMS and mood swings.
Tell your family practitioner of your concerns, he/she will be able to diagnose your daughter at best!
