I'm alarmed to step to the gynecologist..?

I'm almost 21 and I'm scared to demise of the gynecologist! I've been once or twice when I be 15 but I never had an exam. It didn't serve that the Dr. made fun of me for being terrified, he was really prehistoric and I think that kinda freaked me out too! But immediately I want/need to be on birth control but I have anxiety something like going back. I don't know what to do...how can i gain over this fear?

Answer:
my belief is the only opening to get over it is to merely do it.

ask questions give or take a few the doctor, let them know your anxieties and relay them about your former experiences! i also used to hate the gyno but presently understand its a mode of life and i hold to go. presently i would rather die than travel to the eye doc. hahahaah

your smart for wanting birth control. is there a kinfolk center locally that would give it to you? approaching a family planning center. ? they don't require an exam and they will check you out and hand over you birth control .

a pelvic exam is nothing really. take literally 10 mins from start to finish and think of it as a BLIP within your day. you stir in, grasp an early morning appt and you bring back it over with and you will smile when you set off. :) good luck
Try going to a woman gynecologist and explain your fears.
chose a feminine doctor and explain your past experience to her previously she examines you.
put it in your guide that you only shock god and move on near all your fears. usually fearful or scar people are other unhappy as capably -so just carry over it.
1) Find a different doctor. Plain and simple. I'm only comfortable around other women, so chose your doctor.

2) Don't be freaked out roughly this. You're taking charge of your sexuality by going on birth control, and you need to facade the fears!

Just change doctors--some doctors are jerk. Others aren't. Just find someone with whom you are comfortable.

And technically you don't even enjoy to go to an OB/GYN to win birth control; you can get birth control from your house doctor too.
if you are that uncomfortable next to your doctor maybe you should ask for another doctor. Maybe you would be more comfortable next to a female.
Get a friend to progress with you or if you are close to your mom bring her to go. Get information on a righteous OB and maybe consider a womanly doctor.
Ask your friends who they see and follow their recomendations. Or check the phone book and find a female doctor that you might be more comfortable beside.
honestly, just chew over about it. If you don't turn, you'll be at risk of getting pregnant. I know your scared, but what's worse? one scared of going to a doctor or have a baby?
Hi sweetie,

Dont be worried to go to the Gyneacologist. Unfortunately adjectives us gals need to do this regularly to build sure we have no STI'S etc etc.

Im 24 and enjoy been a few times. I be trying for a baby and own PCOS and therefore have to have regular exams.

Im sure they will find the right contraceptive for you and im sure you will be fine. Chin up hun. It'll adjectives be over sooner than you think.

xx
Ask your friends more or less their doctors. Find out who is gentle and penetration. It is uncomfortable especially when you are self conscious but a moral doctor can make adjectives the difference. You might consider whether or not you would be more comfortable with a woman. I enjoy not found them to be especially more sympathetic but again ask around.
I saw an old guy my first time and it didn't brand name me happy any. He had NO bedside comportment at all. I switched to a woman and she is awesome! They know exactly what you are going through. I suggest finding a womanly doctor.
ive never been because im singular 16. call your dr contained by advance and ask if he wants to actually look at you or if you basically can go within and go out of the organization with your clothes on and carry those birth c pills, because thats all your really at hand for. if you do need an exam, dont freak. a short time ago look at all the other s, they gotta do it too. its approaching when i first started using tp's.. i was upset out of my mind, but i just kept reminding myself that im not alone and adjectives these other s have to do it too. also, this dr must see close to millions of vj's anyways, and yours is no different. he wont hurt you.. especially since its a he. i heard that masculine obgyn's are more gentle afterwards females because they dont know how much pain you can clutch so theyre extra gentle down in that. drs on the other hand do know, so sometimes they dgaf. ive never be to one but if i do go i might find scared for approaching a second, until i realize that im not alone and its just something that everybody have to do so i might as well suck it up and find it over with asap.
Ah come on, they are not startling at all. Get a feminine gynecologist, it'll help out greatly. If you have insurance later its really easy to choose and run through their profile online first. If you don't like her any then you can transformation anytime, and as many times you want. You hold to go to capture over ur fear its be 6 yrs and u know more now which help in communicating better and creates an concerned bw the two of u. I tell everything to my ob/gyn she is the best. I trust her and she help me out a lot surrounded by a lot of other stuff too.
Best of Luck....
Go to a feminine doctor.
If you go to a man gynecologist, at hand is always a woman contained by the room too. If there is not, cross-examine this. It will be over before you know it. They will do the pap, and probably check your breasts. They will discern around a little inside you to craft sure you do not have any growths they can surface. It is all highly professional and fast. Most women can`t bear this. You will be fine. Ask questions if you requirement to, so you know what they are doing. You CAN do this.
Go to a middle age manly doctor.
