Is there a way to tell if I've ever been penetrated?
So I was wondering if there's a way for me to tell if I've ever been penetrated by a penis or anything else like a finger?
Please, any help would greatly be appreciated, b/c I'm trying to get closure for something that happened a long time ago.

Not really. A finger or other small object (yes, some are that small) would not necessarily break the hymen.
Do you really need to know this to gain true closure? I think if you have to determine whether you have or not, that the issue you speak of is bad whether there was or wasn't, and that you are emotionally hurting from it whether there was or wasn't. So for you to forgive in your heart, and by forgive, that includes yourself (so many women will not forgive themselves and that is really more critical than forgiving the abuser), all you need to know is that something bad happened to you and you need to find a way to forgive. Knowing or not knowing if you were "technically" penetrated, shouldn't stand in the way of that.
As to determining whether or not you are a virgin, (and I think psychologically that's where you are going) if your hymenal ring is intact, you are a virgin. As long as you have not had conesentual sex, you are a virgin. Please don't think any differently. I know of someone that started acting out after being raped, and I wish someone would've been there to tell her that she was still a virgin in God's eyes.

based on what your gynecologist said it appears that
your hymen is still intact which means if there was any penetration a long time ago it hasn't caused any tear on the hymen.
I hope you get over that.

Sounds to me like your hymen is still intact. But, if you haven't had sex in a really long time, your hymen can grow back... good luck finding closure...
If you've been penetrated by a penis, yes your hymen will be broken. Ask your physcian for the the correct answers to your questions. Better yet visit your local planned parenthood office and someone there will tell you all you need to know.

Only a specialist could tell if they were really trying to figure it out. Just by glancing, or doing a pap doesn't show signs of you being penetrated because of the anatomy of the vagina.
