I was just wondering what the average amount of water weight a girl puts on before her period starts. A couple days ago I weighted 200, and now I'm at 204, my period is supposed to start in a couple days, so is this the normal range?
Answer:
About 5 pounds which is actually water that the body is retaining due to the hormones as one gets ready for the period. Yes, it is normal to retain a bit of water a couple days or even a week before the period.
I had this happen often.
I would also recommend checking with your dr to see what they recommend to help ease this water retention.
