My Dr say I requirement someone to drive me home after HSG.?

What is the reason for this? Will they be sedating me? Is an HSG aching?

Answer:
Depends. Some women said it's rather humiliated. You probably will feel some cramping similar to menstrual cramps during the try-out. The amount and length of the discomfort depends upon the condition of the fallopian tubes, the type of contrast material used, and the pressure used for injecting the contrast objects. Contrast material injected at high-ranking pressure into a blocked tube can produce severe pain that can final for several hours.

Before the procedure, they offered you sedatives or ibuprofen (such as Advil) to minister to you relax and to reduce the prospect of uterine cramping (you better take them).

Good luck
Yes, having an HSG is aching and may require some sort of sedative, if lone Valium or the like.
Take it from someone who have been here. If you're having an HSG, you're probably trying to concieve. They essentially insert a tube into your cervix and then they push a solution contrast die and make it travel through your tubes which shows any blockages. It is painful during the procedure, all right just highly uncomfortable. You will want your husband near to hold your hand. When I get up off the table I be pretty light head and dizzy for a good few minutes afterwards and it be nice to have my husband at hand to drive me home. The cramping and pain go away within an hour to two hours afterwards and you'll consistency fine. It also increases your chances of conceiving slightly so variety sure to have fun the cycle following the procedure! GOOD LUCK!
I'm not sure why your doctor would articulate that. Where I work, we do not sedate patients for this procedure. Most patients tolerate it similar to a pap smear and are just fine afterwards.
