Serious request for information!?

About a year ago, my doctor put me on birth control. Recently I have be having serious abdominal pains, I told my doctor and he took me rotten of my pills for 3 months and then i will be taking the shot.

A few days after i have stopped taking my pills, i started my period. i hold now have my period for almost 10 days. is this a majority side effect associated with coming sour of a high dose contraceptive?

p.s. my doctor said that at hand may be some minor bleeding after i got past its sell-by date the pill, but I think 10 days is not middle-of-the-road. Any advice would be dutiful, thanx

Answer:
I think you should distinctly contact your doctor. I do think it is conventional to experience changes when switching meds but I don't know roughly ten days. When I quit using birth control my period go from lasting 4 days to 7 days the subsequent time.
This definately is not normal you want to contact your doctor you are not supposed to be bleeding for any more than 7 days.
