Question on birth control for shortening your interval.?

OK I'm 16 and I've never really wanted to bring any kinda weird pill that messes beside the balance of my body or doesn`t matter what (well didn't want to take birth control pills). But OMG my cramps from my ending period..ow..!! Yeah cramps hurt, but for some apology I've been thinking just about trying to regulate my period presently (btw my periods are severely often not on diary and sometimes last more than 5 days).

I guess I merely want to ask anyone who uses birth control to regulate their periods, if here is anything I should know before decide to try it. Is their any pain? close to the cramps more intense? Just please give me some information and what I can expect. <3

Answer:
I started using the pill for the exact same root. I definately have to voice that I am glad I decided to do it. My interval now comes every month when I am down to just 3 pills left surrounded by the packet, so I always know the exact hours of daylight I'll get it so there's no surprises, it's made cramps abundantly easier to handle, and my term is usually very muted. Talk to your GYN about it, likelihood are you'll have much easier period if you go on the pill. Giid Luck. :-)
BC pills can in truth help near cramps and pms symptoms and your period will be regulated and probably later much shorter than usual.
I used them for 10 years to control menstrual pain and they be extremely helpful contained by assisting me to live a normal life span (I would have period lasting for 7 days and horrible aching and nausea and vomiting for about 3 or 4 days of it back the BC pills). At the end of the 10 years, my doctor agreed to do a partial hysterectomy (ovaries disappeared in for estrogen)...he found lots of tiny fibroid tumors contained by my uterus that he couldn't feel on exams and a spot of endometriosis on my intestines that he didn't know be there. I did carry breast cancer at 51yrs old, but I don't know that specifically related, since my sister also got breast cancer and an aunt...my tumor be estrogen dependent and now I am within remission, but I would still do things the same method. It is no fun being sick and surrounded by pain every month.
Every bcp is different because every being has different hormone combinations. I took ortho cyclen (NOT tri cyclen) for 3 years near no side effects, although I stoped because I hated the view of taking a bcp.
If you want to relieve the cramps and shorten your periods minus a bcp, ask your doctor about Meclomen. It's an NSAID similar to Aleve and Advil but it works in an extra instrument, it slows your period. Less flow manner less headache.
It may not make you ahve 3 sunshine periods versus 7, but it can emphatically help near the pain and load.
In 7 days COMBINED on this medicine, my flow be less than one HALF of in the future without it.
