Girls Only!!?

Are scented pads bad? Do they irritate the area down there? Thanks!

Answer:
the scented pads are not bad for you, but it depends on preference. in my opinion, i think that the scented pads smell worse then going with an unscented pad. i prefer to use tampons anyway. even though the scented pads are not bad for you, the scented tampons are, so if you do use tampons then dont buy scented because it can cause irritation and sometimes infection.
No
No, but tampons are the best.
I guess its a personal choice, but i personally think they are yucky
they aren't bad at all. I use them somtimes and they get the stink away if you know what I'm saying. But they don't irritate me at all. :)
What area do you mean?
i have never heard of scented pads causing any kinds of problems, however, i think they produce a worse smell than using just regular ones. i'd stay away from them as a general rule
I don't believe so. Never used one.
I've never used them but if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't suggest it.
I don't think so, but I don't use them. Just stay clean and unscented is fine. Scented sometimes has a distinct pad smell and you don't want to have an obvious smell when you have your period.
there not bad but i wouldnt use them u never know what might be used to make them
Depends on if you are sensitive. But usually no. If you are concerned with odor, use a feminine deodorant spray or powder.
No but after some time they start smelling very bad
Everyones "down there" is different. Some people have bad reactions to these products. If you are worried about smell, or irritation the best thing to do is talk to your doctor, they will be able to steer you in the right direction.
no, but why would you need a scented pad anyway? no ones going to see it..
Some people do get irritated by them, because scented pads have some chemicals that have a nasty reaction on some women. Consult your doctor I suppose, if not just try them out, if they don't bother you then use them, but if you see some redness and have some itching I say stop using them A.S.A.P.
I wouldn't recommend them because of the risk of thrush.
scented pads disguise the smell of your blood, and only irritate down there if you are very sensetive
no it doesn't. i think its actually good because it doesn't smell so bad.
yeah they can irritate you some. it depends on how sensitive your skin is to fragrance chemicals. but you should just use tampons.
Unscented only! Talk to your doctor. I do not know why they even sell scented. Anything that has a potential harming affect that can be avoided, should be avoided.
UMMM THATS A WEIRD Q AND A dont you think?
I heard that they could cause yeast infection, but I continue to use thm and have had no problems yet. Just change them out frequently.
sometimes the chemicals to make it scented can give you an infection... i'm sure its not very likely, but just in case!
some scented pads do irritate certain people "down there" If you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend ANYTHING scented that's being put there...you might get a rash...ouch!
I like them. I suppose that some people might be allergic to some of the chemicals that are used, and it might irritate them, but they feel the same to me and they kind of make me feel fresher :).
Scented pads are not harmful by any means (or else they wouldn't make them) they are used mostly for security reasons (if you feel that your body emmits a strong odor during your cycle) there are just different products for different people..its like picking white bread over wheat.its all about what you prefer.
well if they have a strong scent you should know that lots of guys will realize your on your period from the smell. no scent and clean is better if you don't want us guys to know.
Nope, I actually like the scent.
no they're not bad.. tampons are more of my preference but no they're not bad
I don't think i've ever used one, but you should try it. If you don't like them, you can always go back to the regular ones. Plus, I think it depends on each individual person's body. Something that could irritate someone else, may not irritate you.
