Whenever i shave down there, i ALWAYS get red bumps and i put lotion on and everything and nothing works! None of my friends seem to have this problem... Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks

Answer:
i wish i could help, but i can only tell you i FEEL YOUR PAIN,,when i do it, it is painful, red, bumpy and very irritated. only advice i can give is use a good new razor ( i know they make special ones for that area) and a good shave cream. dont seem fair for us that cant enjoy the "clean" look.
ask your doctor about it
your skin is too sensetive. put nonscented lotion and use a new razor each time..
Use a beard trimmer with a guard. You can shave just about all of it off, yet you will not have the razor burn or ingrown hairs.
I've answered this several times on here, so here goes again. I have found that if I smooth on Hydrocortisone cream after I shave I do not get the bumps or the redness. It works as a preventative and a curative so you can also use it later if red bumps happen to appear. Also, follow the previous answers and use a new razor everytime. I'm paying the price right now from using an older one. OUCH!
Those are ingrown hairs your getting, causing the red bumps. They hurt too! Maybe try using special hair removal creams instead. Those should work better than shaving. They say not to use Nair or Veet "down there" but I do and I don't get anymore ingrown hairs. Go to your local drugstore and see if they have any special hair removal creams for "down there."
its goingto sound commercial like but when you are done shaving use something called "bikinizone" it works like wonders no bumps no irritation... you can get at any pharmacy like cvs or walgreen, goody's or other. its on the section of nair products and other women shaving section.
Wal-Mart carries a product specifically for razor burn and redness caused by shaving your bikini line. It's about five dollars.
Jenna Jameson says to use Neosporin. Or any generic triple antibiotic ointment will work.
I have very sensitive skin, and I use it everytime I shave. (even my legs and underarms.)
first clean the area with soap. use new razor evrytime dipped in dettol plus using lather .then clean with water .some r allergetic to razor &also shaving cream .use bathing soap instead . for the itching , use anifungal&antibacterial powder llike candid.consult yur doc if there's still itching-dont b embarassed
I think that happens to alot of girls. Try using shaving cream..they are called a shaving rash. Some girls get them on there legs and under there arm pits!
Time to just stop doing it and go natural. You don't want to stay a little girl forever, be a WOMAN.
called ingrown hairs
Shave in the direction of the hair. It won't be as smooth of a shave, but it will prevent the bumps & any ingrown hairs.
