Well one of the signs is very bad stomach cramps, and one of them is tender breast, discharge is also a sign. When I first started my period at the age of 10 I did the same thing. I had the most horrible stomach cramps ever and my breast hurt too. I still do this and I'm 18 now, so just to let you know it's best to get use to it, trust me I had to. It was even so bad that I had to lay out of school because of it.
