I'm on the pill and don't want to have my period when I go on vacation.?
Answer:
You can safely take your pills so that you don't have a period for many months in a row. If you are concerned, double check with you doc, but seriously if it is just for one cycle of your pills it won't cause a problem. I personally do this for four months and then take the full month. This means I have a period no more than 3 times a year. This is done with the full support and knowledge of my ob-gyn.
I've done that and my period came like normal the next month, you should be fine
when i first got mine they told me that that should be fine check out the planned parenthood website
My understanding is that this is okay to do now and then. In fact, it is exactly what the new prescriptions, like Yaz, do.
It is the equivalent of just taking the active pills except one week every three months instead of once a month.
However, as always, ask your pharmacist and/or doctor about this. If this is just a one time deal, your pharmacist can give you the right answer to do this safely!
it should be completely fine. double check with your health care provider to make sure it's okay to do with the type of pills you are on. however, i cannot think of a single pill on the market that it wouldn't be safe to do this.
