Exercise = Missed Period??

I didn't get my term this month (it has be 5-6 weeks since I got my closing period). I'm 15 years old (and I own never had sex before), so I'm not pregnant. But I enjoy started a new exercise routine for the closing 2 months, and I'm aware that too much exercise can stop your periods. But I don't do profoundly of exercise--- just 30mins on a daily basis (cardio or running or aerobics...depends on the day). I'm not heavy or too frothy weight, and I hold been have my period for 3 years (pretty regularly).and this is the first time I missed it. Should I cut down on my exercise routine? I really want to stay within shape till school starts (in approaching 8 weeks), so please advise.

Answer:
Yes i really muse u should stop exercise for a week or two n see wat happens if they still dont come consequently definitely turn see ur doctor, because not having period also makes u gain bulk.
GOOD LUCK.....
The excersise could be doing this, but if you are not pregnant, i dont think it really matter how late your period are. Another thing that could also be doing this to you, is if you are stressed. This could also adjournment it. But since there is no fate of pregnancy, it doesnt really matter.
I'm 15 years antiquated also. I have/had the same problem as you.
I am on the highschool soccer troop and whenever it comes to pre-season practice I dont get my spell the following month. (The funny thing it happen the same time every year)

Its true exercise (and stress) make happen it to be late, or missed. Don't freak out, your still immature, trust me, be happy you don't enjoy your period at the moment, its to scratchy and annoying!

Hope I helped =]
I agreed beside you that your exercise program is not excessive, so it shouldn't be the factor causing you to miss extent.

The missed period could be due to other factor like:

-stress (school work, exams, holidays, presentations)

-anxiety

-a silver in intake habit (especially if stir thru excessive dieting)

-tremendous weight loss/weight gain

Some oral contraceptives can effect missed period too.

Sometimes, within the absence of pregnancy, you still may occasionally miss period. This is quite conventional.

However, if you consecutively missed your periods, step have a medical check-up.
