Mirena IUD?
My CNM inserted it and she didn't use anything but the IUD and it's applicator. Quick pinch and pressure, but be very bearable.
A relative be convinced with my nouns with the Mirena and needed to carry off the pill due to migraines it be causing, as in good health as brown spots on her face, so she have a Mirena IUD inserted.
Only her experience was thoroughly painful! She said her gyn also used some instrument similiar to a syringe, which she (her Gyn) claimed was for measure the uterus(she believes that is what cause the most pain, since the insertion of Mrena wasn't that bad)?!
My CNM didn't use anything resembling that. My relative has 2 kids and I enjoy three-could that be the reason why this 'instrument' be used on her and not me?
Has anyone experienced anything like that?

I have a Mirena coil fitted about 3 months ago & they explained to me that this instrument be to measure the size of the uterus, so yes it is commonplace practice. I have 3 elder children of 17, 24 & 25, don't know if this makes a difference. It be very raw having the coil fitted & needed prescribed painkillers for 4 days after due to fruitless cramping.
When they inserted mine it really really hurt too. Almost like I be in labor. I own one child.
That was probably a sounding instrument to create sure her uterus was hulking enough to fit the IUD. Of course, after two kids, you could fit a Volkswagon Beetle surrounded by there. Sheesh.
i have the mirena iud put in and I never have a child. I have soaring blood pressure so i had to be taken rotten of birth control pills. My obgyn was first concerned because i hold had a babe-in-arms but understood because of my big blood pressure. he measured my uterus which hurt a lot!! My aching was so impossible that I had to grip the sides of the table I be on. After wards I tried to attain up and went to the waiting room and my blood pressure which be very dignified when I went within drooped down way nippy and I almost passed out. hope this helps
