You could be starting your extent. I started mine at 11. Now, I have a brown discharge purely before mine but next i see the actual period itself inside a day or two. Oh and acquire stain remover to go beside your laundry soap you use because the brown crap you have coming out will stain your underwear and sheets (if you run brown on them and are unmindful you did). happened to me.

This means that your going to start your time soon. But, don't get exicted (or bummed). I have it for a few months before mine started. The brown discharge is in recent times your vagina cleaning itself. (Yes, it cleans. It is actually cleaner than your hand if you didn't know).
