Mirena Coil prescription (Ireland)?
I was beside my doc yesterday and got the run ahead for the coil to be fitted.
He gave me similar to a prescription like write down. My question is ( I completely forgot to ask my gp) do I bring that prescription next to me to the doc fitting the coil (it won't be my regular doc) or must i go to the chemist beside it before foot to maybe purchase the coil or something and bring it next to me?
How much will it cost me? (Again forgot to ask)

I had one fitted nearly 7 months ago. I had to jump to the chemist and buy it as they are not free. Here it is around $200, but I have a healthcare card and get mine for under $10. You would probably be better stale either phoning your doctor and asking him/her or the chemist. That approach, if you turn up to your appointment to be fitted and you don't have the mirena, you won't hold to wait til your subsequent period. It's better to be secure than sorry!! Good luck!!
Its contraceptive free of charge and the doctor should have 1 for you you dont travel and pick it up ...
I got one free of charge at the DRS and he have it in his surgery
