I have heard of women who enjoy sex at least once a day, if not more! I think it depends on the testosterone level in a woman which decreases with age.
Many articles claim that male and female libido tend to be out of sync. because men reach their sexual peak around 18 or so. Whereas women do not reach their sexual peak until her 30s. However, it has also been noted that men and women develop their hormones around the same time, ie in puberty. There appears to be many psychological factors involved, perhaps more for women, including her attitude towards sex. It may also depend on the stresses in life for a man and a woman, it may depend on how tired the woman is, especially if she has a few children under the age of 5 and does most of the housework or do them in addition to working outside the home.
Once a day would be nice. Personally I think women want to have sex as much as men, but we have things on our minds that need tending to before the need of our libido such as feeding children, putting them to bed, getting a term paper done. Stuff like that. Yes sex is important and not to be put off time after time, but some other things come first and I think that is where men and women are out of sync.

I'd love to have it everyday. A lot of women I know LOVE sex but don't always admit it because of that lovely double standard between men and women. If a guy gets/wants it a lot, he's a stud. . .for a woman, she's a ****. Plus, women tend to let the everyday stresses of life tear down their sex drive.
Men are not alone in wanting sex all the time, so if your girl is not as sexual as you are, take a look at her day. If she's stressing over things or working a lot, she might just be too tired to be romantic. Try doing a little chore for her. Wash her car for her if it's dirty, take her dog for a walk so she doesn't have to, offer to mow her lawn, help her study if she needs some help getting ready for a test . . .you get the picture. It has been said that, to some women, nothing is sexier than seeing a man doing the dishes!
