Screwed up period, after 4 years?
I'm 22 years old, turning 23 Thursday. When I was younger, mostly throughout high school, I had extremely messed up periods, like 1 ever 3-4months. I understood why, because I was going on and off birth control, and was performing sports at a high level, and that lifestyle just made it that way.
When I started University, 4 years ago, I finally started getting a period every month consistantly, this is because I was living with so many girls, and we all had our periods around the same time. During those summers, I went away to work at camp, so I still had that female support.
I've been done school since April, and home. I haven't had my period since then. This is the first summer since gr. 11 I'm home. I'm not as active, I only go to the gym 3x a week, compare to 5-6 when I was in school
This is the 1st time i've missed a period in years.
Can anyone please tell me why?
Thanks
Answer:
your body just needs readjusting. if you have no reason to believe you are pregnant, it is probably due to the change in environment. i would give it some time, unless you think you may be pregnant, then I would take a test to be sure. I have 3 older sisters and I know how periods begin to come at the same time and what not, so I would give your body time to readjust, but if you don't get one within the next month or so, you may want to go to doctor's just to get checked out.
