Many girls feel a bit confused when the first period arrives, so I wouldn't verbs too much on that account. Part of it may be because she's getting the belief from you that it's not something to feel gleeful about. Your attitudes hold a lot of impact on how they have a feeling about it. "A really sucky thing" isn't the most encouraging description, you know? If you didn't donate her any of the positive aspects of being a young at heart woman, then she would instinctively have a a bit unimpressed outlook. I made it a point to take respectively of my girls out to celebrate the first one, to large it my daughter being a childlike woman. That way it be a matter for joy, a rite of passage as it be. They are all somewhat embarassed more or less the matter because it is so strongly associated near sex, and anything on those lines will embarass them to speak with parents. They don't want to have an idea that of us that way any more than we have a feeling comfortable seeing them in that oil lamp. You might can do something to take the circumference off things by doing a belated celebration, of late to two of you out to eat and possibly shop. While you are out, you can then broach the subject on independent ground and let her know it's okay. Also be sure you stress that your ears won't leak off, no situation what she says or asks just about. That you would rather bestow her the straight up truth on matters than own her find out the hard path or get some stupid info from a friend. Then I ruminate I'd just agree to her sit in peace a while to sort things out for herself. And for what it's worth, warmth to the parents of an adolescent club. If you feel periods can stink, simply wait until you join teenage hormonal glory. That first year while the cycle gets established and settled can be a tangible roller coaster ride for you both.
She is probably just embarassed almost it. Just don't bring the subject up untill she is comfortable with it.
Did she grasp it out in public, and receive embarrassed? Tell her it is inborn, and that she is a "young woman" presently. And that later when she is in position, and old adequate to have children, that she will be glad about this happening.
Dont ask her tolerate her ask you. Get some leflets and books for her to read up on, and tell her that if she requests to ask you anything that you are there for her.

My 14 year mature is very undisturbed about it still, it is only how she is. The only time I know she is have a period is when it conflicts beside swimming lessons! (I dont perceive she is old adequate for tampons yet, but that will regulation soon I suppose!)
whatever you do, don't try to make conversation to her about pad and tampons and how to use em and stuff. it would be kool of you to buy her some stuff [plastic tampons if u you will] and pads and pantiliners and what not and js walk out em on her bathroom counter [unless someone's coming over. ha.] i'm 16 and i started at 14. i lived w/ my dad and that's what he did. it was funny and so sweet make happen i guess he didn't know what to do so he bought a CRAPLOAD of different stuff. then his girlfriend [who his presently his wife and their son [my brother] is officially 2 days weak =D YAY] started trying to talk to me nearly it over dinner and i js looked at her funny and said, "tampons already come with instructions." that be the end of it. immediately i can js go to my daddy and right to be heard, i need femine stuffs and he's similar to okey dokey. you'r daughter prolly isn't sad, js confused and worried. she'll be ok. period suck balls.
