Over weightiness, A smoker, High Blood Preasure Bad combo for starting birth control?

Hi. My periods own always be normal except for this month. I am thinking that when I see my GYN. that she will more after likely start me on some birth control to give a hand regulate my periods and give a hand start this period that I own missed. My insuramce will not cover an IUD.

I am a smoker, I am over weight and I hold high blood preasure. Will have these things up my risks for a heart attack, stoke, anyerism, pluminary imbolism if I start on birth control? I have hear on TV commercials that all of these things are a risk. So I be thinking if I have these things it would up my risks. I really requirement to start on birth control. But I am abit afraid. I would hate to start on it and expiration up dead! I enjoy 2 kids to raise!

What would you suggest?
Is here any birth control for over weight, soaring blood preasure, smoking people close to myself?

Answer:
well, i am a smoker, and slightly overweight ,and own sucessfully used birth control for years. If u r under 35 its smaller amount, and the less you smoke the better. But if u r a robust smoker, u may need to cut down. This is really a better discussion for your doctor. But if this month is the solitary one that has ever be abnormal, your gyno may not put u on birth control, because most women miss one or grasp one late on affair.
your gyn will help you choose the right style of birth control based on your medical history, exam, and desires. the gyn can often capture an insurance override for different types of treatment. ask.
Yes all of those things are really really bleak for you,

the top 3 reasons for getting cancer are adjectives smoking , srry 2 b blunt

and yes heart attacks and strokes etc also happen freshly from smoking etc, birth control may make it worse i suggest you tell to your doctor.
You are overweight and a smoker, that's birth control enough right in attendance.
It would be best if you were competent to quit smoking to reduce risks from the birth control pill (BCP).
low venous thrombosis/pulmonary embolism is a risk of the birth control pill. Smoking and increased body weight are also risk factor.
Your doctor will be able to come up next to a birth control plan that suits your needs.
yes to adjectives of the above and if you have elevated blood pressure and smoke you are likely to hold a stroke at any time if you dont stop and do something quick seize your self off to a doctor you might even be unlucky not to be put on birth control pills next to all your problems as they may lead to you to have your stroke quicker, and i can`t stand to frighten you you may not even live through it, and if you do you may need looking after ,pinch it from one who knows i hold looked after patients and also my mother had a massive one from high-ranking blood pressure and smoking , her sister also and i lost my favourite cousin at 55 through smoking and lung cancer and a friend have a stroke at 40 from smoking and drinking he was lucky and recovered he cultured the hard means of access an iud is not the answer i had one when i be younger and had more problems near my period going for 9 days and every three weeks i endede up have my tubes done at 36
It's really not a good view to take a combination pill (one near estrogen in it) if you smoke and enjoy high blood pressure.

There is, however, another thoughtful of birth control pill that will most likely be covered by insurance -- the progestin solely pill (POP).

These aren't as big of a deal to those who smoke. However, how overweight are you? If you're just a bit, you should be fine, but if you are obese, the POP may not be strong plenty to affect you.

There are some negative side effects to using the POP. It is not QUITE as accurate (but severely much so), and is also much more time sensitive. You really MUST take it at impossible to tell apart time every day. If you are more than 3 hours deferred, you need to use some form of rear up contraception for the next two days. Also, the POP can diminish bone density, so if osteoporosis runs in your ancestral, then you might not want to be on it for too long. Also, if you hold liver issues, then don't cart a POP.

If you're ready to be punctual next to your pills, though, go for the POP as long as you're not REALLY overweight! It won't endanger your form...after all, you've get to take watchfulness of yourself and your two little ones :)
